The process is simple. Instead of rushing to call at 8am, just follow these steps:

Why are we doing this?
No More 8am Rush ⏰
One of the biggest benefits is the elimination of the stressful 8am phone queue. Previously, patients had to call repeatedly at a specific time to secure an appointment, which was difficult for those at work, on the school run, or unwell. With Digital Triage, you can submit your medical or administrative query online at your convenience.
Fairer Access Based on Clinical Need
Instead of the person who gets through on the phone first getting the appointment, every request is reviewed by a our team. This process, known as Digital Triage, ensures that patients with the most urgent health needs are prioritised. It means your care is determined by your symptoms, not by your ability to get through on the phone at a specific time. This creates a much more equitable system for the entire patient population.
Getting to the Right Person, Faster ➡️👩⚕️
A significant advantage of Digital Triage is that you are directed to the most appropriate healthcare professional for your issue from the start. Your request might be best handled by a GP, a practice nurse, a clinical pharmacist, a physiotherapist, or another specialist. By assessing your needs first, the system avoids unnecessary GP appointments and connects you directly with the expert who can help you best, often resulting in quicker and more effective treatment.
Increased Convenience and Flexibility 💻
The ability to submit requests online offers huge convenience. You can fill out a simple form from your computer or smartphone whenever it suits you, without having to wait on hold. This also provides an opportunity to describe your issue in your own words and at your own pace. For those who can’t use online forms, requests can still be made over the phone, where a receptionist will complete the form on your behalf, ensuring everyone has equal access.
